I am selling my completely restored Canadian Military Dodge M37B1 Power Wagon. Please see the below description and photos. This is a "needs-nothing" truck, that you can just jump in and drive anywhere!
My research on these trucks show that there are less than 2500 Canadian built trucks left. And of those, how many are pushing plows or are rotting in farmer's fields. This is your rare opportunity to get a rare truck in great running condition.
Does not need an e-test, and does not need anything to pass a safety.
BODY/FRAME -body and cab removed from frame -everything was sandblasted to bare metal, primed and painted with Canadian military paint (about 5-6 years ago) -new rear wheel wells -rubberized coating in the box -rubber seals and original issue glass all intact and in good condition -there's a few little dings in the body (see the hood) but I consider them to be "service related" and therefore character marks -there is NO rust or rot on the body or frame. -there is a tailgate included, but it is in rough, but fixable condition. Just never got around to it. -comes with a few cans of paint for touch up
DRIVETRAIN -has the correct CANADIAN 251ci flathead 6cyl (...not the more popular 230ci that the US trucks have) -4 speed Acme transmission with High/Low transfer case. Trans shifts perfectly and all gears stay engaged. -engine was COMPLETELY rebuilt, and there are less than 1000km on that rebuild. I have ALL the parts from the rebuild (rods, pistons, mains/rod bearing, main caps, gaskets, etc.) as proof. -new waterproof plugs/wires/distributor, rebuilt carb -new battery (last summer) -new wiring harness making the truck a B1 designation (ie. all lights , blackout lights and signals are fully functional) -all gages work -new (this summer) 24v electric fuel pump (more reliable than mechanical) -new rear axles seals -new brake shoes on all four wheels -the fuel tank is mirror shinny inside
OTHER -4 brand new NDT tires with tubes (over $400 + taxes each) -all wheels were sandblasted to bare metal and painted with military grade paint -I added WARN unlocking hubs to the front axle (new) -electric windshield wiper motors (...those vacuum ones never worked right) -e-brake works -seats properly re-padded and recovered with military spec oiled-cloth
